Introducing the New Dexcom Savings Program: Easier Access, Lower Costs for rtCGM

Dexcom Canada has launched the Dexcom Savings Program, a new program designed to help Canadians living with diabetes start—and stay—on Dexcom real-time Continuous Glucose Monitoring (rtCGM). A one-time sample and up to 20% copay savings* help individuals living with diabetes access the proven benefits of Dexcom rtCGM with less cost and fewer barriers. This improved and streamlined program replaces the previous Patient Benefit Program.

Simple steps to help patients get started with Dexcom samples and savings

The new Dexcom Savings Program includes two components that work together to simplify access to Dexcom rtCGM Systems for your patients:

One Dexcom G7 sensor

Eligible patients can request a program card for one Dexcom G7 sensor, which they can redeem at their local pharmacy. The Dexcom Savings Program allows patients to experience the clinically proven benefits of rtCGM firsthand, including improved A1C and increased time in range (TIR)1-5, with little to no upfront cost.*

Automatic enrolment in the Dexcom Savings Program

When the sample program card is redeemed, it automatically converts into a Dexcom Savings Program card. This card provides up to 20% off out-of-pocket costs for all future Dexcom rtCGM purchases.* Patients can continue to access savings simply by presenting their program card to the pharmacist. Pharmacists receiving patients with a savings program card should retain the card information in the patient’s profile saved as the last payor, and return the card to the patient.

These updates ensure that starting Dexcom rtCGM is easier than ever—and that ongoing affordability is built directly into the experience.

Patient benefits to downloading their 20% savings card now

Downloading and activating the new Dexcom Savings Program card helps patients save on every purchase and reduces financial barriers that could disrupt a patient’s diabetes management. The process is quick, and once activated, the card ensures consistent savings at the pharmacy.

As a reminder, the Dexcom Patient Benefit Program, the previous copay assistance, will no longer be in effect and will stop processing claims on December 31, 2025. To avoid any lapse in coverage or unexpected cost increases, patients currently using Dexcom rtCGM should be encouraged to switch to the new Dexcom Savings Program by year-end.

How you can help your patients enroll in the program

  • Encourage patients to visit the DexcomSavings.ca to download and activate a program card. This card can be presented at the pharmacy to save up to 20% on Dexcom G7 sensors.
  • If you would like to provide Dexcom sample vouchers directly to your patients, get in touch with your Dexcom representative to arrange delivery to your clinic. Those who do not have a Dexcom representative may also get in touch here, and a representative will mail sample vouchers to you.

Supporting access to rtCGM—and cost savings

The new Dexcom Savings Program, with a no-cost initial sample sensor and up to 20% out-of-pocket cost savings, is an important step towards improving access and reducing financial barriers for individuals living with diabetes. Dexcom rtCGM can help patients start strong and stay supported on their diabetes self-management journey.

Request sample vouchers through your Dexcom representative, or request a call here.

*Depending on the benefit type and patient’s existing coverage, the card will pay all or some of the drug acquisition cost, reasonable mark-up and dispensing fee. Eligibility and savings amount may vary and may not be combined with any other offer. The Dexcom Savings Program may be used in all provinces and territories in Canada.
