How do I prescribe Dexcom G7?
For now, write separate prescriptions for Dexcom G6 and Dexcom G7 simultaneously. The prescription for Dexcom G7 should read ‘Dexcom G7 x 1 year’. Instruct your patients to keep their prescription for Dexcom G7 on hand or ensure their pharmacist keeps it on file.

How do my patients get started on Dexcom G7 as soon as possible?
Dexcom G7 is not yet available for purchase and will be commercially available in Canada by the end of 2023. Details on how to purchase Dexcom G7 will be provided closer to the commercial launch date.

Can my patients stay on Dexcom G6?
Dexcom G6 will be available for patients after the commercial launch of Dexcom G7. Dexcom Canada has no immediate plan to discontinue Dexcom G6.

Is ordering Dexcom G7 through my wholesaler different from ordering Dexcom G6?
Dexcom G7 will be available through all major wholesalers in Canada. Ordering Dexcom G7 for your pharmacy will be no different from ordering Dexcom G6 or any other products you currently obtain from your wholesaler.
